Going into the engagement ring shopping experience, I was a little apprehensive and skeptical to say the least. Thoughts of Gem Diamond, the shady, con man, all-about-money jeweler from Saved By The Bell, were all I could think about. These letters are custom made…Mike gives you a form that will allow so many characters on the gold letter.(on both sides) he will inscribe(on the gold letter) whatever message you put on the form. The gold envelopes hold several gold “love letters”. You will not see this anywhere else. He has a patent on this! Very nice gift!

I would give Mike ten stars if Yelp allowed it. He was absolutely incredible throughout the entire process. My family has been going to him for years so when the time came that I was ready to “pop the question”, I knew where to go.
I was born and raised in Cleveland but live in Chicago now so our first meeting was in between Christmas and New Years while I was back in town. Mike met with me at 7:30am on a Saturday and we discussed what I had in mind. We determined that it would need to be custom-made but decided on the budget and design. From there, he sent me computer renderings a few days later. I asked him to make a few edits and he re-sent the revised renderings shortly thereafter. It was perfect and I said “go”. In the meantime, he had been looking for the best center stone possible. He called me one day about one that he found and was very excited about it. It felt good to have someone on my side and excited about the engagement instead of someone just selling a piece of jewelry.
Long story short, he made a custom ring from scratch and had it FedEx’d to my office less than three weeks after our first meeting. Myself, my fiance and all her family and friends are blown away at how gorgeous the ring is. The center stone is unbelievably clear and the design is perfect.
MIke did an incredible job under a tight time frame and within a certain budget. I’d recommend Mike to anyone.

As someone who had very little jewelry buying experience and next to no jewelry knowledge, looking for the perfect engagement ring was a daunting task. I visited as many stores and talked to as many jewelers as humanly possible, but deciding to go with Saxon Jewelers was far and away the best decision I made throughout this whole process (besides proppsing to my girlfriend, of course!) I heavily damaged my engagement ring and chipped my center stone. I was in need of an expert and the store where I designed and purchased my ring went out of business. I used to work in the jewelry industry so I know what to look for and what to run away from with a jeweler.

I came to learn about Mike Saxon and his store from my parents. My mother had a beautiful very detailed sterling silver cuff that she snapped in half. Mike was able to beautifully restore the bracelet and even improved it with beautiful new stones. It is truly a work of art. Sterling silver is very difficult to work with and Mikes work was flawless.

I researched more by visiting his website to see his original designs. I highly recommend checking it out !

Mike examined my ring in great detail and reviewed several options with me for repair choices. We discussed different approaches at different price ranges and he was able to explain each process in detail and a way I could understand. We ultimately realized the best approach was to file an insurance claim as my center stone was chipped.

Mike worked quickly to put together all of the possible documents that the insurance adjuster would need and was very successful in working with the adjuster as an advocate for me and resolved the insurance process very quickly.

Part of the process was finding a new center stone. Mike was very quickly able to find an amazing diamond for me, had me come in to inspect it before he moved forward and I was thrilled that he found what he did !

Again Mike went over the next steps in great detail and made sure I was in agreement and comfortable with his approach.

He had the ring ready the very day he promised and I can’t even describe how beautifully he restored my ring. It is now far better than what I originally purchased. He went into great detail to make sure my ring was strong and that I would not have future problems.

I was so impressed with his work and professionalism that I brought him a watch to repair as he is also skilled in that department !

I have also been holding on to a project waiting for the right person to take the challenge on. My great grandmother had a beautiful Art Deco three stone ring from 1917 that was stolen a few years ago. Based off of a picture that I have and some spare stones I have, Mike is currently designing a replica of the original ring. I am extremely excited for the results. I know he will do an amazing job.

Great service! A pleasure to deal with. I heard of this place from one of my customers and was blown away by the creativity of the owner Michael Saxon. I came in with a budget for an engagement ring that I thought might be on the low side. He spent a great deal of time with me drawing ideas on a sketch pad until we got it just right. Then we picked stones….we did this all before we discussed my budget.!!!!

After shopping several jewelers, I settled on Saxon due to his capabilities (an in house work facility), plan of action and his willingness to listen. Originally I went to Saxon’s for a ring repair. The ring had been repaired twice before at another jeweler and I needed to find someone that would have a permanent solution. That was over a year ago and the ring is still in perfect condition. Repaired a platinum ring by laser welding additional platinum around the thinned edges and replaced a lost diamond from a double channel wedding band. It looks great and his level of knowledge about potential pitfalls working with platinum was reassuring. The diamond he replaced is indistinguishable from the remaining original diamonds. I felt very confident in his services when I left my ring for repair and was very happy with the results when I picked it up! His showroom is a bit off the beaten path but I think his level of skill made it worth the effort. He was also able to work with my irregular schedule to allow me to meet with him where I hadn’t been able to get to other jeweler in a timely fashion. Price was a bit high, but seemed reasonable given the materials and labor required for this job.
